Adaptation of Czech Language Leaving Examination for the Deaf in Light Testing Czech Language as a Foreign Language

This diploma work focuses on Adaptation of Czech Language Leaving Examination for the Deaf, which deaf student in Czech republic pass as a part of the their Leaving Examination. As a background of this main theme examines also present situation in the research of reading literacy. In the main part of this work is this examination presented in detail and there are also presented the results of deaf students and some other statisticts information. Examples of test units and student's written works are attached too. The other part of this work describes examinations of Czech language as a foreign language and give some detail information about the most important exams. In conclusion, the author of this work is trying to explore the way how the deaf students language skills in other countries are examined in their Leaving Examination.
Sociocultural competence in teaching Czech for foreigners

The present thesis tries to approach the issue of foreign language acquisition and foreign language didactics approaches. The main theme of the work is socio-cultural competence in teaching Czech for foreigners. It also states the issue in a broader context. Following is a detailed analysis of that term and its definition in a social frame of reference levels for Czech A1. The main part comprises of individually assessed five selected textbooks of Czech for foreigners. The analysis is carried out based on own criteria which have been determined in accordance with the required components of the socio-cultural competencies according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and J. Průcha methodologies. In the final part of the thesis is made mutual comparison of books with regard to the extent of helping to deepen and develop the student's knowledge in terms of socio-cultural competence. Comparative analysis of language and communication skills in written communiqué by students from the 4th year of high school. Language level based assessment of stylistic writings

This rigorous paper deals with analysis of language and communication competence in written messages created in 2014. The analyzed sample comes from students attending grammar school, grammar school for 11-19 year old students, secondary technical school and secondary vocational school extension study. The theoretical part defines the communication and language competences, as well as the principles of their acquiring in the structure of communicative strategies during secondary education. This paper's further aim is to deal with the writing part of the leaving examination criteria and assessment. The second part introduces comparative analysis of authentic texts aimed at the level of those two competences mentioned above and at objectivity of the writing assessments made by teachers at particular schools. Samples of analysed texts, specialized literature quotations, diagrams, charts and an appendix are part of this work. The certificate from the Czech language writing evaluator and a point scale for writing assessments are enclosed, too. Textbooks of French as foreign language

TITLE: Textbooks of French as a foreign language KEYWORDS: French as a foreign language, didactic materials, a textbook, the division of textbooks of foreign languages, a teaching method, a language competence ABSTRACT: This Bachelor's thesis is called Textbooks of French as a foreign language and it focuses on analysis of French language textbooks. The thesis deals with the structure of French as foreign language textbooks, their contents and their historical background. The practical part of the thesis concentrates on modern French as foreign language textbooks, beginners level designed for adults. A complete list of all textbooks published from 2010 till today is presented at the beginning of the practical part. Furthermore, two textbooks were chosen for a deeper analysis. Allez Hop! was written by Czech authors and Totem 1 by French ones. The goal of the thesis is to describe and analyze the methods of teaching foreign languages as well as methods of teaching every language competence. Furthermore the thesis remarks on the application of the methods in modern textbooks. In order to reach this goal the descriptive, analytical and comparative methods are used.
